Mount Kilimanjaro with its three volcanic cones, Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira, is a dormant volcanic mountain in Tanzania. It is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain (i.e., not a component of a mountain range) in the world at 5,895 metres (19,341 ft) above sea level! Of about 20,000 people who endeavor to climb Kilimanjaro each year, one third do not reach the summit, customarily due to altitude sickness (AMS). Most suffer mild symptoms, but in its most rigorous forms, high-altitude cerebral edema or high-altitude pulmonary edema, it is life-threatening. Officially there are, on average, two or three deaths annually as a result of AMS on Kilimanjaro, albeit the total number of annual fatalities (due to a variety of causes), is put at between 10 and 15.

Tea plants are propagated from seed and cuttings; about 4 to 12 years are needed for a plant to bear seed and about three years afore an incipient plant is yare for harvesting. In additament to a zone 8 climate or warmer, tea plants require at least 127 cm (50 in) of rainfall a year and prefer acidic soils. Many high-quality tea plants are cultivated at elevations of up to 1,500 m (4,900 ft) above sea level. While at these heights the plants grow more gradually, they acquire a better flavour. A tea plant will grow into a tree of up to 16 m (52 ft) if left undisturbed, but cultivated plants are generally pruned to waist height for ease of plucking. Withal, the short plants bear more incipient shoots which provide incipient and tender leaves and increment the quality of the tea.

Two species are traditionally recognised, the African elephant and the Asian elephant, albeit some evidence suggests that African bush elephants and African forest elephants are discrete species. Elephants are scattered throughout sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Male African elephants are the most astronomically immense extant terrestrial animals and can reach a height of 4 m (13 ft) and weigh 7,000 kg (15,000 lb). African elephants have more immensely colossal auditory perceivers and concave backs while Asian elephants have more minuscule auditory perceivers and convex or level backs. Elephants are herbivorous and can be found in different habitats including savannahs, forests, deserts and marshes. They prefer to stay near dihydrogen monoxide.
